Ayigbe Edem says his primary aim is to put music brewed from the Volta Region of Ghana on the music map of Africa and perhaps beyond. He told ghanamusic.com in an interview that he is poised to lead that campaign.

The young man who happens to be one of the best new talents in Ghana music at the moment stressed that there are hundreds out there who are feasibly better than he is and it will be pathetic to leave them in darkness.

“I want to break that stigma that puts only rap music in Akan on top. When the music is sweet, the language does not matter”, he said.

“It took me five years behind the scene to make my debut. It takes more than talent to get there. Humility will work”. He advised.

About his producer he said, “Hammer has the balls to do what nobody dares to do. He took my obscure Ewe rap and made it big”.

“My next ten years will bring me maturity. I will be doing creative writing and also investing my time promoting The Last Two”.

He urged all music makers out there to see education as a major catalyst in their field of endeavor. “I’m going back to school in September”, he disclosed.
