Following a misunderstanding between two radio personalities, Blakk Rasta of Hitz Fm and Kofi Okyere Darko of Radio Gold, a former radio presenter, Fred Nuamah has appealed to the two radio personalities to use diplomatic means to settle the impasse between them instead of using the media to abuse each other. He said the role of a radio presenter is to educate, inform and to entertain listeners, adding that using radio to abuse each other is against the ethics of the profession. Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) a few days ago descended heavily on Blakk Rasta, bluntly telling him that he does not deserve to work on radio with the kind of abusive utterances he has been making on his programme. KOD was reacting to comments made by Blakk Rasta on Peace FM's Entertainment Review programme which sought to implicate KOD of playing double standards with an issue regarding the nomination of Blakk's 'Obama' song for the Most Popular Song of the Year category for the upcoming Ghana Music Award. Fred Nuamah, who is also an executive producer, said the two presenters are matured enough to settle their fracas behind closed doors. According to him, the music industry needs peace and so the two players should learn to desist from any act that seeks to undermine the progress of the industry. He hinted that he would soon arrange a meeting between the two presenters to find a lasting solution to the quarrel. Related
