The rapper who burst on to the hiplife scene some 10 years ago as one half of the prolific duo, Akyeame, has certainly proven his worth over the years. He sees these nominations as the icing on the cake for his 10th anniversary in the game.
"I feel victorous...I feel that my efforts is finally receiving some notoriety...the last time I took an award was 10 years ago so it feels very good", says Okyeame Kwame couldn't hide his excitement during the launch of the Ghana Music Award last Tuesday.
He says that he is looking forward to winning the Song writer of the Year award . " If I don't win that award I will be sad because my talent is really song writing. I have written a lot of popular songs for people which have even won international awards. So its about time people back home realised that part of my talent".
Okyeame facing alot of competition going into the April 4th awards ceremony. Praye is right on his tail with their hit single 'Angelina' and new acts like Asem and R2bees may spoil a perfect five for Okyeame. Related
