Ghana Music.com apparently contacted Hammer on phone who stated he was sick and that the reports about his death were false.
Hammer said: "I’m not going to die until my work is complete on earth. The work I'm talking of is; putting Ghanaian music on the world map.

Reports surfaced the social network, Facebook website that Hammer of the Last 2 was dead. Hammer’s facebook page was covered with messages offering condolences for him fanning the flames of rumour mongers across the internet. Ghana Music.com’s office lines was also busy with his fans cross checking up his death
