African pop star, Becca will boost her image as a serious campaigner against unfortunate children, as she plans to raise funds to cater for their needs.

Titled ‘Children’s Ball’, Becca said “On Saturday February 21, 2009, I was visiting at a local hospital when I saw a disheveled woman sitting on a bench and staring blankly into the air. Her son, a 4 month old baby had just passed away because she could not afford medication that cost GHC15. My heart sunk! That is an amount of money many of us waste on unessential things daily”.

Rebecca Acheampong better known as Becca is hoping to raise $150,000 which will be used to register 10,000 Ghanaian children under the National Health Insurance Scheme in country. Becca herself offered a personal cheque of GH¢3,000 followed by Allied Oil Company donating GH¢1,000 and Amalgamated Bank also donated GH¢2,500.

“Becca wants to dedicate the rest of her life to helping children in so doing she announced that ‘Becca’s Children Ball’ will be coming up on the 13th of February, 2010 to help raise awareness and funds to support less privileged children whose parents can’t afford to pay hospital bills.

It will be dinner and fun filled night with Becca, Nigerian Basket Mouth from Nigerian and the legendary, Hugh Masekala.

Becca revealed that all donations should be made Deloitte & Touche.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
