It was all fun and exciting when the MTN Ghana Music Awards train stopped in the twin city of Sekondi-Takoradi last week.
The music jam was in celebration of Ghana's 53rd independence and the centenary celebration of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the illustrious son of the region who championed the struggle for Ghana's liberty from Great Britain in 1957.

The most versatile member of hiplife trio Praye born Eugene Boadu Baah popularly known as “Praye Honeho” (Choir Master) has graduated from the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI).
The colourful graduation ceremony took place last Saturday February 13th 2010 at the Atlantics Oval on the University of Ghana Campus. Eugene appeared at the ceremony at exactly 7:45am dressed in his graduation gown, for his big day. The programme started exactly 9am and ended at 1pm.

Not many Ghanaian artistes openly comment about how many copies of their albums have been sold, especially when there are arguments that the system should make it possible for people to access such information.
But new gospel artiste Isaac Wilson, otherwise called Ike, seems to have his own outlook in that regard. The new kid on the block, a Fante native born in Accra but now based in Canada, released his maiden album ‘Me Nyame’ in December last year. Watch Me Nyame by Ike feat. Jemima

Ghana’s celebrated reggae musician, Rocky Dawuni says it is possible for Ghanaian musicians to get lots of radio air time, but that might not necessarily translate into sales.
He therefore called on the country’s TV and radio stations to stop taking money from artistes before they played their music.
